They escape using teamwork and Kiara even saves Kovu at one point. After entering the forbidden "Outlands", Kiara meets a young cub, Kovu, and they are attacked by crocodiles. Simba assigns his childhood friends meerkat Timon and warthog Pumbaa to follow her.
